Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, April 27, 2026: Nigerian currency depreciates to lowest
The Naira depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market to resume trading on Monday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira fell to its lowest in weeks on Monday to N1,364.24, down from N1,358.44 traded on Friday last week.
This means that the recorded N5.80 depreciation on Monday when compared with N1,358.44 traded on Friday.
Similarly, at the black market, the Naira fell to N1,429 from N1,427.
This comes as the country’s external reserves extended their decline to $48.44 billion as of 24th April 2026.
DAILY POST reports that in the past days, the Naira has sustained a depreciation rally against the dollar at the official FX market.
The last time the Naira surpassed N1,364.24 per dollar at the official market was on April 8th when the local currency traded at N1,371.82.
